Dai Cheng 戴诚
AI Filmmaker · Screenwriter · Creative Content Producer
I didn't start with a camera. I started with a game engine.
Trained in Game Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, I spent years learning how to build worlds — through C# programming, level design, narrative scripting, and the mechanics of how stories move people. Somewhere along the way, I became obsessed with a different question: what happens when artificial intelligence becomes a creative collaborator?
That question led me here.
I now work across the full production pipeline — writing screenplays, directing AI-generated visuals, and producing cinematic short films that have reached hundreds of thousands of viewers. My skills span AI image and video generation, video editing, scriptwriting, game development, and commercial content production.
I contributed to a published AIGC textbook under a Tsinghua University Future Lab researcher and one of China's leading figures in embodied AI. I am currently collaborating with a prominent Chinese film producer — credits include Curse of the Golden Flower — on the international distribution of AI-assisted short dramas.
I believe the future of cinema is not human versus machine. It is human through machine.
